Do you offer hotel pickup?

We do not offer pickup and drop-off services from/to anywhere besides the Kahului cruise ship port. Our meeting point of 140 Ho’okele St, Kahului, HI 96732 is approximately 40-50 minutes from the Lahaina/Ka’anapali area and ~35 minutes from Kihei and Wailea.

What vehicle will we be touring in?

We normally take our guests out in our new Toyota Sienna Hybrid. People love the comfort, visibility, and spaciousness of the van and it feels more like a luxury ride. We also feel it is the most comfortable for a long day out. The big side windows go down and has a sunroof as well. It’s fun to put all the windows down to take in all the sights, sounds and fragrance of the jungle.

If you are wanting a jeep, we have a local company we work with that rents them to us upon availability. The price is usually around $250.

We like to accommodate everyone’s vision of their perfect day out and this is one way we are able to do that. We also want everyone to walk away saying, “This was the best day of my life!” so here is our take from our experience with the jeeps…

The pros: Great for photo shoots and viewing.

The cons: Sometimes when people have rented the jeeps, they wish they would have stuck with the van because of the sun beating down on them, rain, the wind factor, (as you can’t hear each other talk when it’s windy,) and overall comfort and roominess.

I’m a solo traveler, can I book a tour just for me?

Yes, absolutely! Our minimum booking price applies which is $674 per private tour plus taxes and fees. In this case, it would be a custom private tour with just you and the tour guide. You wont be grouped together with other guests. Our solo travelers love this very special rent-a-friend experience. If booking online, you’ll need to select “2.” Please add a note in the comment section to let us know you’re flying solo.

Who will be my guide?

We are famous for our guides who each bring something unique and special to the table

I am a smoker. Can we take smoke breaks?

Absolutely: we are happy to accommodate most special requests. The beauty of our private tours is that they are fully customized to your desires.

What should I wear/bring on the tour and what do you provide?

  • An extra set of clothes in case you want to change for a drier ride back

Where does the tour start and end?

Our tours start and end at our meeting point in Kahului. Please meet us in the parking lot outside of the Jersey Mike’s at 140 Ho’okele St, Kahului, HI 96732

Is lunch included?

Lunch is available for purchase at the place of your choosing. Our favorite lunch spot is the Huli-Huli Chicken stand that supports the native Hawaiians in the area.

If it’s raining, do you cancel the tour?

We do not cancel tours because of weather unless there is an island wide storm where there are road closures. Did you know Hana gets 115 inches of rain a year? That translates to frequent showers in this area which is what gives us our lush jungle and beautiful flowing waterfalls. That said, it is quite possible that we could encounter some rain. We have everything to keep you comfortable regardless of the weather conditions. Don’t worry, it’s not always rainy in Hana! Oftentimes we encounter beautiful sunny days perfect for dipping in a waterfall and experiencing the beautiful beaches of the area. We will make sure you have fun regardless of the weather conditions.

Do you only do private tours?

We offer private tours exclusively.

I get motion sickness, will I still be able to enjoy this tour?

If you get motion sickness at all, even the slightest, we cannot recommend enough the “Less Drowsy Dramamine” or “Bonine” with the active ingredient Meclizine. These products can be found at any drugstore and most ABC convenience stores. We do not recommend the Original Dramamine as it can make you drowsy nor do we recommend the “Non-Drowsy Dramamine” as it simply doesn’t work for most people.

To win the game, take 1 the evening before and 1 in the morning upon waking up and you are golden! It’s been a life saver on many occasions. There are over 600 turns out there. The difference between having an amazing experience and suffering is not worth being unprepared. We’ve seen it so many times.

Do you offer any other tours other than Road to Hana?

Absolutely! We can customize any tour you can imagine here on Maui. From Haleakala sunset tours to wedding proposals in Napili, we are happy to make your dreams become a reality! Give us a call or text so we can brainstorm the perfect experience for you and your loved ones. (808) 867-0585
